About the role

L3Harris is seeking a skilled Air Weapons Technician Instructor to deliver first‑level maintenance training for the CF‑18 aircraft. The role combines classroom instruction with hands‑on training, ensuring students master both theoretical concepts and practical maintenance tasks related to aircraft weapon systems.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver classroom lessons on the operation and maintenance of CF‑18 weapons systems.
• Conduct practical training sessions, guiding students through real‑world maintenance procedures.
• Maintain and update training materials, referencing program guides, ITFC documents, and work processes.
• Complete inspection sheets, forms, and aircraft records accurately and in accordance with regulations.
• Adhere to health, safety, flight safety, and documentation standards.
• Provide mentorship and technical support to trainees under the direction of the lead instructor and supervisors.

Required profile

• College diploma, secondary education, or equivalent.
• Five (5) years of experience maintaining CF‑18 aircraft, specifically weapons and related systems.
• Strong adaptability, interpersonal skills, and customer‑service orientation.

Required skills

• Proficient use of Microsoft Excel.
• Solid knowledge of the Windows operating environment.
• Experience with SAP for data and inventory management.
