Technician II – Service (Security Systems)

About the role

As a Technician II – Service you will work with project managers and sales teams to install, commission and maintain electronic security solutions for commercial clients. The role combines hands‑on technical work with client training and project documentation.

Key responsibilities

• Install and service access‑control, CCTV and intrusion‑alarm systems.
• Perform pre‑wiring, programming, commissioning, troubleshooting and routine maintenance.
• Develop and execute Acceptance Testing Plans that meet contract and client requirements.
• Assist in system design, layout and provide on‑site training to end users.
• Maintain project documentation and update project managers on progress.
• Lead site projects, mentor junior technicians and ensure safety standards are met.
• Work at heights, in confined spaces and lift up to 50 lb as required.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in the integrated security industry.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean abstract.
• Ability to work independently, handle shift work (5 pm‑12 am) and travel to job sites.
