Technical Support Engineer – Entry Level

About the role

AVeVA is seeking an entry‑level Technical Support Engineer to join its Calgary team. The role is hybrid, requiring 2‑3 days onsite, and operates on a 9:00 am – 6:00 pm shift. You will help customers troubleshoot and resolve complex application issues across AVeVA’s industrial software portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support for product issues, custom applications, and integrations.
• Perform triage, troubleshooting, testing, analysis, and diagnosis of reported problems.
• Document all activities, findings, and resolutions in the case management system.
• Estimate effort for work requests and deliver workarounds or hot‑fixes to maintain system availability.
• Implement fixes, enhancements, and workarounds for custom‑developed code.
• Gather requirements for code changes and assess feasibility.
• Keep system and technical documentation up‑to‑date.
• Collaborate with support colleagues, R&D, and Project Delivery Services to resolve complex issues.
• Travel domestically or internationally for training or customer support as needed.
