Technical Sales Coordinator – Consulting Engineer

About the role

As a Technical Sales Coordinator – Consulting Engineer you will provide application‑engineering support to the Consulting Engineers team throughout the design and proposal process, translating project requirements into technically sound, competitive and energy‑efficient solutions for Armstrong Fluid Technology’s customers in Ontario.

Key responsibilities

• Review project schedules, specifications, drawings and equipment duty points to confirm application requirements and size/select pumps, packaged systems, controls and heat‑transfer equipment using ADEPT and other approved tools.
• Prepare accurate technical and commercial proposals, including selections, pricing, scope, options, lead times and supporting documentation, while ensuring compliance with consultant specifications.
• Conduct detailed project reviews, coordinate with product specialists, manufacturing, operations and sales to confirm feasibility, pricing and delivery expectations, and track opportunities in CRM.
• Provide responsive technical support to consulting engineers and the sales team, participate in project meetings and product demonstrations, and communicate selection rationale and energy‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or technologist diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Building Systems, Energy Systems or a related discipline.
• 1–2 years of application engineering, HVAC equipment selection, technical estimating or related experience.
• Strong understanding of hydronic HVAC systems, pump curves, controls and heat‑transfer principles.
• Professional proficiency in English; French is an asset.
• Willingness to travel occasionally within Ontario.

Required skills

• Proficiency with ADEPT or comparable HVAC selection software.
• Experience sizing and selecting pumps, packaged systems, controls and heat‑transfer equipment.
• Knowledge of variable‑speed pumping, sensorless control and system optimization.
• Microsoft Office suite and CRM tools; familiarity with ERP/quotation systems.
