Technical Manager - Conveyance Engineering

About the role

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Technical Manager – Conveyance Engineering to join our team in the Greater Toronto Region. The successful candidate will oversee and manage all technical aspects of water and wastewater projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the technical team in planning, designing, and implementing water and wastewater conveyance projects.
• Provide expert guidance on complex engineering challenges related to conveyance systems.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices.
• Prepare and review technical reports, proposals, and project documentation.
• Mentor and develop junior engineers and technical staff.
• Participate in business development activities, including proposal writing and client presentations.
• Coordinate approvals from regulating and commenting agencies.
• Maintain project continuity through design, tender, and construction phases.

Required profile

• Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) designation.
• 10+ years of experience in water and wastewater engineering, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
• Strong technical knowledge of water and wastewater conveyance systems, infrastructure design, construction, and regulatory requirements.
• Proven project management ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Required skills

• Experience with linear water projects.
• Experience with vertical water projects.
• Knowledge of trenchless construction technologies.
• Experience with micro‑tunneling techniques.
