Technical Account Manager

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Technical Account Manager to become the product and application expert for Preston Phipps’ steam, hot‑water and laboratory critical‑air solutions. You will work closely with contractors, end‑users and engineering consultants to drive sales, solve engineering challenges and ensure optimal performance of mechanical systems.

Key responsibilities

• Grow sales within assigned accounts by balancing time between contractors, end‑users and engineering consultants.
• Develop deep relationships and technical knowledge of customers’ mechanical systems and decision‑making processes.
• Educate end‑users on product benefits, support contractors on project scopes, and assist engineers with design support, take‑offs and tender participation.
• Collaborate with Preston Phipps manufacturing partners and internal divisions to leverage technical resources.
• Work with fellow account managers to build multi‑location accounts and prioritize in‑person meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of engineering sales experience serving contractors, consultants and end‑users.
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or chemical engineering, or equivalent industry/sales experience.
• Strong track record in the full sales cycle and customer service.
• Excellent communication, organization and project‑tracking abilities.
• Valid driver’s licence with a clean record and alignment with our values of entrepreneurship, integrity, respect, partnership, success and innovation.
