Team Lead - Shipping

About the role

Durabuilt Windows & Doors is seeking a proactive Team Lead to manage its shipping operations. You will oversee daily dispatch, ensure product safety in transit, and lead a warehouse team to meet production and customer delivery goals.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee and participate in shipping activities, verifying orders against purchase orders.
• Plan daily workload, address back‑order issues and driver concerns.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized warehouse while complying with safety and record‑keeping procedures.
• Support LEAN production and 6S standards to keep product flow efficient.
• Resolve complaints promptly and communicate company policies.
• Ensure appropriate staffing through planning and scheduling.
• Analyze work orders, monitor labor hours, and supervise team members to meet productivity targets.
• Motivate the team, set measurable goals, and foster a culture of safety, speed, and accuracy.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years logistics experience, preferably in the trucking industry.
• Supervisory or dispatch experience is an asset.
• Background in manufacturing or construction environments.
• Ability to multitask, solve problems quickly, and work in a fast‑changing, high‑volume setting.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Proficient with Microsoft Outlook.

• Proficient with Microsoft Excel.
• Experience entering data into databases.
