Team Lead, Paralegal

About the role

As CLV Group expands its residential portfolio, we are looking for a seasoned Paralegal to lead our resident legal function. The Team Lead, Paralegal will manage landlord‑tenant matters, coach a team of Paralegals, and ensure compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act while delivering resident‑focused outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day leadership, coaching and mentorship to a team of Paralegals.
• Review work for accuracy, quality and compliance with the Residential Tenancies Act and internal standards.
• Oversee preparation and filing of Landlord and Tenant Board applications and related legal documentation.
• Maintain an active caseload, represent the organization at LTB hearings and negotiate settlements.
• Partner with Property Management, Accounting and In‑House Legal Counsel to resolve complex legal matters.
• Monitor legislative changes, update the team and continuously improve legal workflows.

Required profile

• Licensed P1 Paralegal in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario.
• Minimum 5 years of paralegal experience, including representation before the Landlord and Tenant Board.
• Strong knowledge of the Residential Tenancies Act and related legislation.
• Previous experience leading, mentoring or coaching a team.
• Excellent analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience using Yardi or other property‑management software.
