About the role
McGill University is seeking a graduate student to serve as a Teaching Assistant for the Social Work 320 course (Practice with Individuals and Families 1) during the Fall 2026 term. This fixed‑term position supports the delivery of weekly lectures and small‑group workshops, providing academic assistance to undergraduate students.
Key responsibilities
- Evaluate, grade, and comment on student assignments.
- Attend weekly course lectures to stay aligned with curriculum delivery.
- Facilitate small‑group discussions and workshops, encouraging active participation.
Required profile
- Graduate student enrolled in the School of Social Work at McGill University.
- Good academic standing.
- Some practical experience with social function assessment writing.
- Experience with Quebec social services is a plus.
- Effective communication skills in both English and French.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly rate of $38.46 CAD.
- 39 hours of work per term (August 13 2026 – January 5 2027).
- Opportunity to gain teaching experience in a university setting.
