Teaching Assistant – Natural Resource Sciences (Fall 2026)

About the role

The Department of Natural Resource Sciences at McGill University is hiring five Teaching Assistants for the Fall 2026 term. Appointees will support undergraduate courses, work under the guidance of the Course Supervisor, and contribute to a high‑quality learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist the Course Supervisor in delivering course content and managing classroom activities.
• Provide support for labs, tutorials, and discussion sessions as outlined in the Workload form.
• Grade assignments, exams, and other assessments according to the supervisor’s guidelines.
• Facilitate student inquiries and offer academic assistance during office hours.
• Utilise virtual learning platforms (Zoom, WebEx) and the myCourses LMS for remote or hybrid instruction when required.

Required profile

• Hold an undergraduate degree and be enrolled in a graduate program at McGill for the Fall 2026 semester.
• Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work on the Macdonald Campus in Quebec.
• Available for the entire contract period (45‑80 hours per term).
• Proficient in English, both spoken and written.
