Teaching Assistant for Introduction to International Development (Fall 2026)

About the role

McGill University’s Institute for the Study of International Development is seeking a graduate‑level Teaching Assistant for the course “Introduction to International Development” (INTD 200) for the Fall 2026 term. The TA will support the instructor and students through in‑person instruction, grading, and course preparation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead discussion or conference sections and hold regular office hours for student consultation.
• Attend and, when required, assist in delivering lecture sessions.
• Grade papers, exams, and other assessment components in a timely and consistent manner.
• Collaborate with the course instructor on lesson planning and preparation of teaching materials.
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and provide feedback.

Required profile

• Enrolled as a graduate student at McGill University for the Fall 2026 term (any discipline).
• Strong academic standing and effective communication abilities.
• Interest or background in world development; Development Studies graduate option strongly encouraged.
• Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion.
