About the role
The Department of Desautels at McGill University is seeking a Teaching Assistant for the course “Intro to AI and Deep Learning” (MGSC 673) for the Fall 2026 term. This role supports the instructor by updating course materials and leading help sessions to reinforce key concepts for graduate students.
Key responsibilities
- Revise and enhance lecture slides, assignments, and supplementary resources.
- Conduct scheduled help sessions covering specific AI and deep learning topics.
- Assist students with technical questions during office hours.
- Collaborate with the course instructor to ensure alignment with curriculum goals.
Required profile
- Current graduate student at McGill University.
- Completed coursework in artificial intelligence, machine learning, or related fields.
- Authorized to work in Canada and willing to work on the McGill campus in Quebec.
- Proficient in English communication, both written and spoken.
Required skills
What we offer
- Hourly compensation of $38.46 CAD.
- 90 hours of work over the term (approximately August 30 – December 12, 2026).
