Tax Specialist – Multi‑Jurisdictional Corporate Tax

About the role

The Tax Specialist will lead multi‑jurisdictional tax compliance for a global group, covering the United States, Canada, Singapore, the United Kingdom and EU member states. You will ensure accurate corporate income tax, indirect tax and transfer pricing filings while identifying opportunities to reduce tax risk and capture government incentives.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and file annual corporate income tax returns for subsidiaries in all covered jurisdictions.
• Manage indirect tax obligations such as US sales & use tax, Canadian GST/HST, UK VAT and EU VAT/OSS.
• Maintain registrations, annual returns and statutory filings, and coordinate year‑end audits with local auditors.
• Act as primary liaison with tax authorities (IRS, CRA, IRAS, HMRC, EU tax administrations) and handle audit defense.
• Design, implement and document the global transfer pricing policy, including Master File, Local Files and CbCR.
• Research, evaluate and claim government tax incentives and credits (e.g., Canada SR&ED, US R&D credit, UK R&D relief, Singapore EDG).

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting, Finance, Taxation or a related field.
• CPA Canada In‑depth Tax Course or Master of Taxation strongly preferred.
• Minimum five years of tax experience, including at least three years in a public accounting or tax advisory firm.
• Full professional proficiency in English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken).
