Tax Specialist

About the role

Forvis Mazars is seeking a Tax Specialist to join its growing Montreal team. You will work with a diverse client base, preparing corporate, individual and trust tax returns while ensuring compliance with Canadian tax regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare corporate tax returns with a focus on accuracy and optimisation.
• Assist with individual tax returns and act as a tax resource during the personal tax season.
• Prepare trust tax returns and related compliance forms.
• Support the calculation of tax provisions.
• Conduct tax research and interpret applicable legislation.
• Respond to information requests from tax authorities.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field.
• Member of a relevant professional organization (CPA).
• 1‑3 years of tax experience in an accounting firm or similar environment.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate, personal and trust taxation.
• Proficiency in spoken and written French and English.

• Microsoft Office suite.
• Taxprep software.
• CCH tax software.
