Tax Manager

About the role

BMW Canada is seeking a Tax Manager to lead all tax‑related activities for its Canadian operations and subsidiaries. Reporting to the Director of Accounting, Tax & Customs, you will ensure compliance, optimise tax positions and support strategic decision‑making across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Manage corporate income taxes, indirect taxes, transfer pricing, Pillar 2 and employer tax compliance for BMW NSC and BMW FS divisions.
• Lead the Internal Control Systems compliance team and oversee internal controls, audit readiness and tax process implementation.
• Provide tax guidance to leadership, assist with risk management and strategic planning.
• Coordinate customs compliance and support month‑end / year‑end accounting activities, including reconciliations, tax provisions and reporting.
• Act as primary liaison with Canadian tax authorities, external auditors and tax consultants.
• Develop and deliver tax awareness training for associates.
• Manage transfer pricing, EBIT margin analysis, vehicle costing and pricing strategies.
• Coach and develop the tax team, setting priorities and performance goals.

Required profile

• University degree in Accounting, Tax or Business Administration.
• Master’s in Taxation or CPA designation.
• Minimum 5 years of tax experience in a large professional services firm or multinational corporation.
