Tax Manager – CPA Firm in Charlottetown

About the role

Join a respected professional accounting firm in Charlottetown as a Tax Manager. You will work closely with senior leadership, delivering tax compliance, planning, and advisory services to a diverse client base across PEI and Atlantic Canada.

Key responsibilities

• Lead corporate reorganizations and advanced tax planning initiatives.
• Support succession and estate planning engagements.
• Assist with tax audits, reviews, assessments, voluntary disclosures, and notices of objection.
• Conduct tax research and respond to complex tax inquiries.
• Manage complex tax engagements, including corporate, personal, and trust returns.
• Provide technical tax guidance and mentorship to internal team members.
• Collaborate with senior partners on strategic and advisory tax matters.

Required profile

• CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting designation.
• Completion of CPA Canada’s In‑Depth Tax Course.
• 3–5+ years of progressive tax experience in public practice.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team.
• High level of accuracy, confidentiality, and attention to detail.
• Effective time management, prioritization, and problem‑solving abilities.
