Tax Manager (Contract) – Vancouver

About the role

Anthem is seeking a Tax Manager on a 12‑month contract to support its finance team in Vancouver. The role blends tax compliance, research, and process improvement within a fast‑paced real‑estate environment.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and manage tax working papers, continuity and reconciliation schedules for multiple entities.
• Research and resolve discrepancies between tax and accounting balances.
• Prepare corporate and partnership tax returns, elections, forms, and regulatory filings.
• Respond to tax authority inquiries and handle tax provision working papers and estimate calculations.
• Assist with tax planning, research, analysis, investor correspondence, and ad‑hoc tax or accounting projects.

Required profile

• Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and tech‑savvy with strong communication skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively, meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing objectives.
• Experience with large corporate groups, either as an external advisor or in‑house staff.
• Professional accounting designation and minimum 5 years of tax‑related experience.

Required skills

• Familiarity with Tax Prep or similar tax software.
• Advanced Excel and Word proficiency.
• Strong written and verbal English skills.
