About the role
Motion Recruitment is seeking a Tax Analyst on a 6‑month contract to support a leading technology company during the upcoming tax season. The role focuses on researching and analysing complex Canadian tax issues while ensuring compliance and accuracy.
Key responsibilities
- Research and analyse complex Canadian tax matters.
- Support the development of tax content and documentation.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to address tax‑related questions.
- Prepare and review Canadian T1 personal income tax returns.
- Assist in ensuring overall tax compliance and accuracy.
Required profile
- 5+ years of relevant tax experience or a post‑secondary degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Hands‑on experience preparing and/or reviewing Canadian T1 personal income tax returns (required).
- TP1 (Quebec) experience is a strong asset.
- Strong knowledge of Canadian tax law and tax research.
- Cross‑border tax experience alone does not meet the requirements; data‑entry‑only T1 experience is insufficient.
