Tax Advisor & Preparer (Hybrid, Full‑time)

About the role

FBC is seeking a Tax Advisor & Preparer to join its Kingston team. This hybrid position combines office work with frequent travel to meet members at their businesses across Belleville and surrounding communities. You will provide personalized tax strategies, prepare T1 and T2 returns, and introduce clients to the full suite of FBC services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare accurate T1 and T2 tax returns for small‑business members.
• Deliver tax and accounting advice that minimizes short‑ and long‑term liabilities.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, encouraging referrals and long‑term engagement.
• Identify client needs and connect them with FBC specialists (bookkeeping, payroll, legal, financial planning).
• Maintain detailed records of all client interactions and services provided.

Required profile

• Minimum 1 year experience in a tax preparation or accounting firm.
• Valid driver’s licence, vehicle registration and reliable vehicle for daily travel.
• Client‑focused mindset with strong communication skills.
• Willingness to travel frequently to urban and remote locations in Ontario.

Required skills

• Proficiency with tax preparation software Taxprep.
• Proficiency with accounting software Xe.
