About the role

Join Air Canada, Canada’s iconic airline, as a Talent Recruiter and help shape the workforce that keeps the skies moving. Reporting to the Manager of Talent Acquisition, you will attract, engage and recruit talent across all divisions using a mix of HR platforms, social media and networking.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in full‑cycle recruitment for designated client groups, including screening, shortlisting and interviewing candidates (in‑person and virtual) in partnership with hiring managers.
• Develop and maintain strong business relationships with internal clients to ensure best‑in‑class recruitment and high satisfaction.
• Define role requirements with hiring managers and track applicant activity and recruitment metrics using the applicant tracking system and CRM platform.
• Leverage ATS, professional networks and social media to source candidates, run campaigns, and engage passive talent.
• Recommend sourcing strategies, collaborate with Talent Acquisition leaders on attraction plans, and build a pipeline of promising candidates for current and future mandates.
• Support Air Canada’s diversity hiring goals and participate in continuous training.
• Occasionally travel for recruitment events and activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Human Resources or a related field.
• Experience in technical, mass or management‑level recruiting, preferably at a national or multi‑location level.
• Solid understanding of Canadian employment legislation related to recruitment and hiring.
• Previous agency recruiting experience is an asset.
• Bilingual in French and English.
• Proactive, out‑of‑the‑box thinking with strong customer‑service orientation.
• Flexibility to work varied hours and travel as needed.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office.
• Experience with web‑based applicant tracking and HR systems such as Taleo, Phenom or PeopleSoft.
• Knowledge of employer branding, recruitment marketing and social media sourcing.
