Takeout Attendant (Customer Service & Order Processing)

About the role

As a Takeout Attendant at Playground, you will be the first point of contact for guests ordering food to go. You will provide friendly, professional service, ensure orders are entered accurately, and work closely with the delivery team to guarantee timely pickups.

Key responsibilities

• Greet customers in person and over the phone with a warm, professional attitude.
• Enter take‑out and delivery orders into the POS system, noting any special requests.
• Collaborate with drivers to confirm addresses, dispatch orders, and signal when orders are ready for pickup.
• Maintain a clean, organized take‑out area and balance cash at the end of each shift.
• Stay familiar with the Rail menu, daily specials, and food‑safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 18 years of age with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in a customer‑service or food‑service role is preferred.
• Strong communication skills in both English and French.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.

Required skills

• Experience with POS systems.
• Basic computer proficiency.
