Systems Operations Specialist

About the role

YDCPro is seeking a Systems Operations Specialist to join its Oakville team. The role provides advanced technical support for enterprise systems used by government and law‑enforcement customers across Canada, ensuring high availability and performance in mission‑critical environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform troubleshooting, system administration, and deployments for Windows and Linux platforms.
• Provide tier‑2 technical support and customer service to end users.
• Maintain service level agreements and participate in after‑hours/on‑call support rotations.
• Collaborate with Engineering and QA teams to resolve complex issues.
• Document procedures, incidents, and resolutions.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of experience in systems administration or technical support beyond a basic help‑desk role.
• Diploma or degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Valid Ontario driver’s licence and ability to travel as needed.
• Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.

Required skills

• Windows operating system administration.
• Linux operating system administration.
• Scripting with PowerShell, Bash and Python.
• Basic SQL/database knowledge.
