About the role
We are seeking a skilled Sushi Chef to join our Pret A Manger team in Montréal. The successful candidate will prepare high‑quality sushi and Japanese dishes while ensuring safety, hygiene, and consistent presentation.
Key responsibilities
- Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to the cooking staff.
- Instruct cooks in preparation, cooking, garnishing and presentation of food.
- Prepare and cook food on a regular basis and for special guests or functions.
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances.
- Train staff in preparation, cooking and handling of food.
- Prepare meals or specialty foods.
Required profile
- 1–2 years of experience as a sushi chef.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced, physically demanding environment and stand for extended periods.
- Dependable, flexible, initiative‑taking, organized, reliable and a team player.
- Criminal record check and own transportation (public transport also available).
- Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
