Supply Planner

About the role

Saputo is looking for a Supply Planner to ensure that manufactured and procured products are available in regional distribution centers to meet customer demand. The role sits within the Supply Chain Optimization (SCO) group and uses an integrated plant scheduling and procurement tool to coordinate production planning, finished‑goods procurement, and material flows.

Key responsibilities

• Guarantee that distribution centers have the right product, in the right quantity, at the right time.
• Maintain effective relationships with local/regional teams (production, warehouse, delivery, sales, forecasting, customer) and the SCO group.
• Monitor inventories of finished goods, ingredients, and packaging materials and replenish to optimal levels.
• Manage relationships with the national purchasing group and suppliers of ingredients and packaging.
• Provide production schedules to plants, track order fulfillment, and adjust as needed.
• Coordinate inter‑branch movement of finished goods with the national transport team.
• Handle ordering and stock levels during product introductions or de‑listings to avoid shortages and disposals.
• Identify supply issues promptly and propose corrective actions.
• Continuously analyze the local supply chain to reduce cost and improve service.
• Participate in cross‑functional projects and perform other duties as assigned.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain or a related field (preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in supply chain, operations management, or inventory management.
• Experience in the food industry is an asset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment.
