Supervisor, Fund Accounting, Private Equity

About the role

MUFG Investor Services, which provides asset servicing solutions to the global investment management industry, is hiring a Supervisor, Fund Accounting, Private Equity in Toronto. Reporting to the Associate Director, Nexus, Client Delivery, the supervisor delivers fund accounting services to private equity clients.

Key responsibilities

• Provide fund accounting services to private equity clients, including NAV review and preparation, accruals, security pricing and cash and security position reconciliations
• Review and prepare portfolio pricing in line with fund documents and valuation policies
• Review and prepare capital call and distribution calculations and allocations
• Review and prepare fee schedules, including management fees and waterfalls
• Review and prepare investor allocations per NAV cycle so capital transactions and P&L are booked correctly
• Review and prepare NAV packages and other ad hoc deliverables under service level agreements
• Complete other ad hoc requests and projects, and communicate with internal MUFG teams and external clients
• Review and prepare audited financial statements, audit assistance and other regulatory services as applicable

Required profile

• At least 3 years of experience in a Fund Administration role, with at least 2 in a Private Equity role
• Strong knowledge of Private Equity structures, regulatory requirements and waterfall calculations
• Experience reviewing Limited Partnership Agreements and Operating Memorandums
• Supervisory skills and/or coaching and mentoring experience
• University degree or professional designation such as ACCA, CPA or CMA considered an asset
