About the role

Our industrial partner in Montreal, operating in the agri‑food sector, is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the plant’s maintenance team. The role is full‑time, night‑shift (14 h–22 h), and focuses on ensuring reliable operations of dairy and food processing equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate planning, prioritize and track all maintenance activities.
• Lead safety initiatives to improve health and safety performance.
• Direct and supervise maintenance staff, providing clear work instructions.
• Monitor contractors to ensure compliance with plant procedures and contract terms.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and implement operational improvements.
• Liaise with production, maintenance, and engineering teams to optimise resource use.
• Support budget management by tracking expenditures against the plan.
• Ensure preventive‑maintenance programs are executed effectively.

Required profile

• College or university diploma, or equivalent trade certification.
• 3–5 years experience as a maintenance supervisor in a unionised plant, preferably in food processing.
• Additional 3 years experience in electrical, control‑system or mechanical fields.
• Proven experience with preventive‑maintenance systems and budget management.
• Strong knowledge of dairy or food‑processing treatment systems and high‑speed packaging lines.
• Leadership, problem‑diagnosis and team‑building abilities.
