Student Recreation & Leisure Attraction Worker – Seasonal

About the role

Join the St. Lawrence Parks Commission team at Crysler Park Marina for a seasonal, student‑focused position delivering exceptional guest experiences. You will work outdoors in a vibrant marina environment, assisting boaters, campers and day‑use visitors while gaining hands‑on experience in hospitality and recreation services.

Key responsibilities

• Greet and assist boaters, campers, and day‑use guests upon arrival.
• Transport cruise‑line passengers to nearby attractions such as Upper Canada Village and the golf course.
• Operate cash registers and credit/debit terminals, handling transactions accurately.
• Complete paperwork including camping and dockage forms, daily cash balances, and fuel pump readings.
• Pump fuel to boats, empty garbage containers, clean washrooms, showers, and marina facilities.
• Perform outdoor maintenance: mowing lawns, weeding flower beds, removing seaweed, and cleaning windows and floors.
• Follow safety protocols, report hazards, and uphold equity, diversity and inclusion principles.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a secondary or post‑secondary institution (or graduated within the past six months).
• Willingness to learn and operate a VHF radio.
• Physical ability to perform manual labour such as cleaning, fuel pumping and landscaping.
• Ability to wear and maintain a uniform.
• Knowledge of camping, water and boating safety practices.
• Valid driver’s licence may be required.
