Student Library Assistant – Shelving & Collection Support

About the role
The County of Lambton is seeking a motivated student to join its library team on a part‑time basis. You will work 6 hours per week across several community libraries, helping keep collections organized and accessible for patrons.
Key responsibilities
- Shelve books and other materials according to the established Dewey Decimal order.
- Maintain tidy and orderly shelves, ensuring items are correctly placed.
- Assist library staff with locating items to fulfill patron requests.
- Support the processing and organization of new and existing collections.
- Help with the preparation and delivery of library programs when needed.
Required profile
- Currently enrolled in a high school or post‑secondary program, or participating in an employment initiative for individuals with disabilities.
- Physical ability to perform shelving and material handling tasks.
- Reliability and punctuality for a regular weekly schedule.

- Hourly wage ranging from $16.60 to $17.60.
