Student Engagement & Program Coordinator

About the role

The Student Engagement & Program Coordinator leads campus and community engagement initiatives for UBCO Heat Athletics & Recreation. This role focuses on youth sport development, mass‑engagement events, and revenue‑generating activities that enhance campus spirit and community connections.

Key responsibilities

• Design, coordinate, and evaluate engagement programs and events for students, alumni, and local communities.
• Develop an annual event plan in partnership with on‑ and off‑campus stakeholders.
• Organise Game Day experiences, special events, and youth sport development activities.
• Collaborate with Athletics & Recreation staff to drive participation, community outreach, and revenue opportunities.
• Maintain relationships with community partners and ensure high‑quality program delivery.

Required profile

• Proven experience in program coordination, event planning, or community engagement.
• Strong organisational and communication abilities.
• Ability to work with diverse student, athlete, alumni, and community groups.
• Collaborative mindset and capacity to support revenue‑focused initiatives.
