About the role
Datadog is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to drive new business with its largest, most strategic customers. You will focus on uncovering pain points for organizations operating or migrating to cloud environments at scale and delivering tailored Datadog solutions.
Key responsibilities
- Prospect and close deals with Fortune 1000 companies while maintaining an efficient sales process.
- Build and own relationship maps for your territory, including existing and aspirational contacts.
- Develop deep understanding of customers' business drivers and negotiate favorable pricing and terms.
- Expand reach within assigned territory, handling existing customer expectations and identifying new opportunities.
- Maintain high forecasting accuracy and consistently meet sales targets.
Required profile
- 5+ years of closing experience in field selling, mixing mid‑market and enterprise.
- Proven track record of exceeding $1M+ sales goals with average deal size of $100k+.
- Experience selling SaaS or IT‑infrastructure solutions to large enterprises.
- Willingness to travel regularly to client sites across regions.
