Store Manager – Ottawa Region

About the role

Marshalls is seeking an experienced Store Manager for its Ottawa region. You will lead a dynamic retail team, create memorable customer experiences, and foster an inclusive, supportive environment.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee all store operations, including sales performance, expense control, shrink reduction, merchandise presentation, back‑room organization, cash office, and customer service.
• Manage scheduling, markdowns, shipping, receiving, and overall store appearance.
• Recruit, train, develop, and motivate Associates, acting as a role model and supporting succession planning.
• Implement TJX Canada programs, procedures, and policies to mitigate risk and control costs.
• Review store reports, conduct walkthroughs and audits, and lead program meetings with staff.
• Develop action plans for store initiatives, set targets, and prioritize projects.
• Provide recommendations on merchandise mix, inventory levels, and customer demographics to District Managers and Business Development teams.
• Analyze competition on pricing, presentation, and service to inform strategy.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of retail leadership experience in a high‑volume, fast‑paced environment.
• Proven ability to drive sales, manage expenses, and lead large teams.
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to inclusive leadership.
