Store Associate – Hardware

About the role

The Store Associate works in a fast‑paced Canadian Tire store delivering friendly, courteous service while maintaining the hardware department. Responsibilities include stocking shelves, merchandising, and general housekeeping to keep the store tidy and inviting.

Key responsibilities

• Greet, assist and thank customers in person and over the phone.
• Recommend related hardware products so customers leave with everything they need.
• Execute retail tasks efficiently, including stocking, labeling, facing, and keeping the area clean.
• Perform hole checks to ensure inventory accuracy.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Required profile

• No prior experience required; training will be provided.
• Ability to work shifts, including days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• High‑school diploma or equivalent.
• Physical ability to stand/walk up to 8 hours and lift/carry items, use a ladder, twist, turn and reach.
• Approachable with strong problem‑solving skills.
• Comfortable using a computer and operating a cash register.
