Stock Room Clerk

About the role

Manitoulin Transport, a North American transportation company with 65 years of experience, is hiring a Stock Room Clerk in Mississauga. The position is full-time, day-shift, on a 4x10 schedule Monday to Thursday from 7:00 to 17:30. The clerk identifies, records and inventories parts requirements in the maintenance system so that maintenance safety, operations and driver needs are met, and works as a team player with mechanics, drivers and outside vendors.

Key responsibilities

• Open warranty claims for warrantable parts and tag and store warranty parts in the right place
• Work with local vendors and other maintenance facilities to keep parts in stock or ordered before equipment arrives for PM service or repairs
• Make sure part cores are returned and processed correctly so credits are received
• Run daily, weekly and monthly cycle counts, receive and process parts daily, and barcode every part received
• Review special order parts regularly to avoid holding unnecessary inventory for more than 30 days
• Create purchase orders for miscellaneous items in AP Scanning, process and scan parts invoices in Enrich and MTDirect, and process Fleet Charge invoices biweekly
• Mark and store parts in the stockroom, keep it clean and orderly, and arrange parts deliveries and pickups from vendors
• Follow QPM, ISO and health and safety regulations, and deal with salespersons daily

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years in service operations preferred
• Good organizational, communication and decision-making skills
• Ability to work effectively and efficiently, with technical, mechanical and problem-solving skills
• Focused on cost analysis and cost reduction, and on customer and driver satisfaction
