Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager

About the role

As the Steel Detailing Assistant Project Manager you will work closely with the Project Manager to keep project operations smooth and efficient. Your attention to detail and proactive attitude will be essential for coordinating tasks, documents, and stakeholder communication throughout the project lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Support strategic planning and influence project direction from the outset.
• Assist the Project Manager with daily orchestration, ensuring quality, client satisfaction, and on‑time delivery.
• Provide real‑time status updates and act as the pulse of the project.
• Organize and maintain all project documents and digital databases with precision.
• Coordinate with fabricators, engineers, and architects to meet project requirements.
• Manage RFIs and Change Orders efficiently.
• Prepare and issue drawing packages to clients according to schedule.
• Monitor schedules and goals to keep projects on track.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience as a Steel Detailer (or related field).
• Strong ability to interpret structural and miscellaneous steel construction drawings.
• Excellent organizational skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Proven ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
• Effective communication skills, both oral and written.
• Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.

Required skills

• Tekla Structures or similar detailing software.
• Steel detailing expertise.
• Construction drawing interpretation.
