Staff Systems Engineer – Signal Processing / SAR Processor

About the role

We are seeking a Staff-level Systems Engineer to lead a specialized team developing high‑throughput signal processing systems that convert raw satellite radar data into SAR imagery. The position is fully remote within the United States, with optional relocation to Vancouver later.

Key responsibilities

• Define, specify, manage technical risk, integrate, verify and validate new and existing SAR processors.
• Supervise interface control document creation and ensure seamless hardware‑software integration for ground or space segments.
• Balance algorithmic theory with practical implementation on target processors.
• Troubleshoot processing errors, mitigate image artefacts, and optimise processing time toward near‑real‑time performance.
• Participate in mission design trade‑off studies, mentor the team, and advise senior management on new business opportunities.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, Mathematics or Physics (or equivalent).
• 12+ years of engineering experience, including 5+ years on complex signal‑processing systems and 10+ years in large‑scale product development or systems engineering.
• US citizenship or permanent residency.
