Sprinkler Designer

About the role

Viking is seeking a Sprinkler Designer to create automatic fire sprinkler system drawings that meet current codes and project requirements. You will work closely with architects, engineers, and project managers to ensure accurate, code‑compliant designs.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare drawings using AutoCAD, Revit, and HydraCAD, integrating architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
• Reproduce sketches, drawings, and plans, arranging sprinklers according to standards.
• Verify drawings following established procedures and coordinate BIM models.
• Participate in project meetings for cross‑discipline coordination.
• Order materials via HydraList based on coordinated drawings.
• Conduct field surveys to develop installation drawings.

Required profile

• Diploma in Fire Protection Engineering Technology/Design or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of fire‑protection drafting experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD; knowledge of HydraCAD is an asset.
• Familiarity with standards and codes governing automatic fire protection systems.
