Speech-Language Pathologist – School Setting

About the role

The Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre Inc. is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist to join its interdisciplinary team, providing essential communication and swallowing services within school environments.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct speech-language tests and examinations.
• Develop, plan and implement remedial programs to address speech, voice, language, resonance, cognitive‑linguistic and swallowing disorders.
• Establish group and personalized care plans as part of an interdisciplinary team.
• Provide advice and educational services to patients and families regarding communication and swallowing disorders.
• Plan and implement habilitation/rehabilitation programs and inform patients about hearing loss and treatment.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Speech‑Language Pathology.
• Licensure by provincial or territorial authorities.
• Experience is an asset.
• Efficient interpersonal skills and excellent written communication.
