Sourcing Manager

About the role

The Sourcing Manager will lead complex sourcing strategies and supplier relationships to drive best‑in‑class performance for a high‑value spend portfolio. This role supports Starbucks’ growth objectives and corporate social responsibility goals by delivering measurable cost savings and strategic outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies based on deep knowledge of industry players, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
• Manage an annual spend of $50‑200 million, overseeing supplier performance, risk, and continuous improvement.
• Lead negotiations and create effective negotiation strategies to achieve cost and value targets.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with strategic suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Drive cross‑functional projects using program and project management tools, solving problems independently.
• Mentor and collaborate with procurement analysts and peer teams, ensuring best‑practice procurement is applied.

Required profile

• Working knowledge of procurement processes, including sourcing strategies, supplier relationship management, risk management, and relevant legal terms.
• Proficiency in RFX execution, market analysis, and should‑cost modeling.
• Strong problem‑solving abilities and business acumen.
• Ability to motivate teams, influence cross‑functional partners, and drive results.
