Solutions Architect (Bilingual)

About the role

LGI Healthcare Solutions, which has built healthcare software for over 40 years and now centres its work on AI, is looking for a Solutions Architect in Montreal. The architect designs the end-to-end architecture needed to deploy and run solutions in each client's production environment, covering infrastructure, cloud and hybrid platforms, integrations, networks, databases, security, observability and SRE. The role spans the full client lifecycle, from bid and pre-sales to implementation and operation, and reports to the Customer Delivery & Performance Engineering group.

Key responsibilities

• Design client-specific production architectures and size/optimize environments for availability, performance, scalability, resilience and cost, using Infrastructure as Code and automation.
• Support bids and pre-sales by defining technical requirements, evaluating TCO and partnering with Sales on the Statement of Work.
• Resolve complex production issues and lead high-severity incidents, from diagnosis and mitigation to verified resolution.
• Build prototypes, load tests, failure reproductions and diagnostic tools, and define integrations and APIs with Product Architecture and client teams.
• Design and optimize database architecture, establish SRE, high-availability and disaster-recovery practices, and strengthen observability with logs, metrics, traces and dashboards.
• Design and automate CI/CD pipelines, monitor production health and use DORA metrics to improve delivery.
• Translate production findings into technical requirements for R&D and embed security, privacy and compliance, especially for health data.
• Establish client architecture standards, mentor technical colleagues and integrate AI and generative AI responsibly into client solutions.

Required profile

• University degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• At least 10 years of experience in solution, systems or infrastructure architecture in production environments, ideally in a multi-client or managed-services setting.
• Bilingualism in French and English is mandatory.
• Experience integrating AI or generative AI is a strong asset.

Required skills

• Cloud and hybrid architecture, Infrastructure as Code, networking and client-specific infrastructure design.
• SRE, high availability, disaster recovery, observability, performance engineering and incident management.
• Systems integration, APIs, data architecture, database performance, migrations and capacity planning.
• CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation and DORA metrics.
• Diagnostics such as profilers, distributed tracing, packet capture, query plans and load testing.
