Software Engineer, SCOT-Fulfillment Optimization

About the role

Amazon’s Supply Chain Optimization Technologies (SCOT) team is seeking experienced software engineers to build the next generation of procurement and fulfillment optimization systems. You will work alongside top engineers, research scientists, and product managers to design, develop, and deploy large‑scale software that directly impacts billions of dollars of inventory worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Own and develop end‑to‑end Amazon package flow optimization software, data pipelines, and warehousing solutions.
• Deep‑dive into data to uncover patterns, anomalies, and opportunities.
• Invent and implement anomaly detection and visualization systems to explain deviations from planned values.
• Implement GenAI‑driven automation to identify new opportunities for improving aggregate metrics.
• Leverage the latest network optimization science to enhance precision, accuracy, and explainability of optimization outcomes.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language.
• Prior experience building stable, scalable solutions.
• Ability to dive deep into technical architectures and quickly identify solutions.
• Comfortable working in fast‑paced, agile environments.
