Software Engineer – Education Products

About the role

Autodesk’s Education Experiences (AEX) team is looking for a Software Engineer to build and deliver education‑focused product experiences across Autodesk platforms. You will work in a fast‑moving, startup‑like environment, taking ownership of customer‑facing features from concept through launch.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement backend services, APIs, and integrations that power education product features.
• Rapidly prototype and move solutions to production while balancing speed, quality, and maintainability.
• Collaborate with digital experience and platform teams to integrate and productize ML/AI solutions.
• Develop and maintain automation, plugins, and SDKs for CAD platforms such as Fusion, Revit, 3ds Max, and Maya.
• Work across product boundaries, including lightweight frontend integration, data pipelines, and experimentation tooling.
• Manage CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions) and containerized deployments using Docker.
• Write robust, well‑tested code, participate in code reviews, and follow security and data‑handling best practices.
• Document designs, APIs, runbooks and assist in onboarding other engineers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong programming skills in Python and/or C++.
• Experience with full‑stack development workflows and AI coding tools.
• Proficiency with containerization (Docker) and version control.
