Software Engineer, Ads

About the role

Reddit is looking for a Software Engineer to join its Ads organization. You will work on building and scaling the core infrastructure that powers machine‑learning models and advertising services for millions of daily users.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain a highly reliable, scalable ML serving stack that integrates with Reddit’s ads serving platform.
• Optimize CPU and GPU performance for real‑time inference workloads.
• Build observability and model‑quality tooling to monitor model health and enforce quality gates.
• Collaborate with the Attribution & Identity, Ads Growth and Business Manager teams to deliver features that improve advertiser measurement, identity resolution and SMB advertising tools.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous delivery pipelines.

Required profile

• Strong background in building large‑scale backend systems.
• Experience with performance‑critical services and distributed architectures.
• Ability to work cross‑functionally with product, data science and design teams.
• Passion for solving high‑impact problems in advertising technology.

Required skills

• Experience with machine‑learning serving frameworks or similar high‑throughput systems.
• Proficiency in CPU/GPU optimization techniques.
• Familiarity with observability tools and metrics collection.
• Knowledge of ad‑tech concepts such as attribution, identity resolution and advertiser experimentation.
