Software Engineer – Ads Backend

About the role

Reddit is looking for a mid‑level backend Software Engineer to join its Ads organization. You will help build the core services that power Reddit’s advertising platform, ensuring advertisers reach the right audience at the right time.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain microservices and APIs for ads.reddit.com.
• Build and operate distributed systems that deliver ads to millions of users in real time.
• Implement data‑intensive pipelines to measure campaign performance.
• Maintain the infrastructure that supports ad‑related features such as polls and games.
• Collaborate with product, AI, and front‑end teams to deliver end‑to‑end ad solutions.

Required profile

• Mid‑level backend engineer with experience building scalable, high‑traffic services.
• Comfortable working in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and ability to ship reliable code.
