Software Development Engineer – Chronicle Analytics

About the role

Amazon is seeking a Software Development Engineer to join the Chronicle Analytics team within Selling Partner Services. You will help build tools that analyze massive data sets, support vendor negotiations, and drive business planning for Amazon Consumer.

Key responsibilities

• Translate functional and technical requirements into detailed architecture, design, and working software solutions.
• Design and develop software products that impact multiple business areas.
• Write, test, and review code; participate in design reviews.
• Own end‑to‑end code quality, system, functional, and integration testing.
• Ensure system architecture, scalability, reliability, and performance.
• Collaborate across product, UX, and business teams to deliver results.
• Mentor engineers, shape technical culture, and help grow the team.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience (non‑internship).
• 2+ years of experience designing or architecting new and existing systems, including design patterns, reliability, and scaling.
• Proficiency in at least one software programming language.
