Software Developer - Mobile Team

About the role

Cronometer is seeking an experienced mobile developer to join its Mobile Team in Revelstoke, British Columbia. You will help build and ship high‑quality nutrition‑tracking features for iOS and Android using Flutter and native stacks when needed.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and ship mobile features in Flutter for both Android and iOS.
• Write clean, maintainable Dart code that integrates with existing production codebases.
• Collaborate with senior mobile engineers, backend developers, product, design, and QA to turn ideas into polished experiences.
• Integrate with RESTful APIs and internal services, ensuring reliability, performance, and clear failure handling.
• Debug UI behavior, performance issues, platform differences, and production crashes across the mobile stack.
• Participate in code reviews, providing and receiving thoughtful feedback.
• Help improve mobile development practices, including testing, release readiness, accessibility, and maintainability.
• Support app releases through testing, verification, and post‑release monitoring.

Required profile

• 3+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong understanding of client‑server communication, RESTful APIs, asynchronous programming, and data‑driven UI.
• Attention to mobile UI/UX details, performance, reliability, and accessibility.
• Experience with automated testing, debugging tools, CI/CD workflows, and app release processes.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
