Software Developer

About the role

We are looking for a Software Developer to join Foniva in Montreal. In this role you will design, develop, and maintain software solutions that support our business objectives. You will work closely with the technical director and analysts to ensure high‑quality, reliable products and services.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and translate analyst requirements into feasible technical solutions.
• Develop and implement application features, patches, and enhancements.
• Perform unit and integration testing to guarantee code quality.
• Document application functionality and changes.
• Monitor online services and troubleshoot issues.
• Collaborate directly with customers on specific projects.
• Ensure compliance with project timelines and commitments.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to best‑practice standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Graduated in a relevant field such as Computer Science or Engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Good communication skills in English.
• Self‑motivated and able to work independently.
• Ability to meet deadlines and adhere to commitments.

Required skills

• Programming languages: C/C++, PHP, Angular, JavaScript, jQuery.
• Operating systems: Linux and Windows.
• Database: MySQL.
• Understanding of VoIP and PBX concepts.
