Software Developer II – Python (Montreal)

About the role

Jeppesen ForeFlight is looking for a Software Developer II to join its Application Development team in Montreal. This client‑facing position involves writing and maintaining production‑grade Python code, building automated tests, and documenting work within an Agile delivery model.

Key responsibilities

• Pick up and work on assigned JIRA tickets as part of the team’s Agile workflow.
• Write, fix, and maintain Python code and related automated tests (e.g., Gherkin/Behave).
• Create and keep technical documentation in Confluence.
• Collaborate directly with clients to understand requirements and resolve issues.
• Use Git/GitLab for version control, participate in code reviews, and communicate via Slack and JIRA.
• Travel internationally up to approximately 20% of the time as needed.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
• Minimum 2 years of professional software development experience.
• Fluent English (written and verbal) for client‑facing work.
• Ability to work hybrid from the Montreal office (2 days/week on‑site) and travel internationally.
