Site Supervisor – Residential Construction

About the role

The Site Supervisor is a full‑time, hybrid position based in Oshawa, Ontario. This role blends on‑site supervision of residential construction projects with off‑site planning and administrative tasks. The supervisor ensures that each project is delivered safely, on schedule, and to Henley Contracting’s high quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule trades on daily basis.
• Monitor construction progress and conduct regular site inspections.
• Enforce health and safety regulations and maintain a clean, organized job site.
• Communicate project updates, clarify requirements, and address concerns with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients.
• Review plans and specifications to verify compliance.
• Organize delivery of materials and equipment.
• Document site activities and contribute to continuous improvement of site processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising residential construction sites, including custom homes, renovations, or additions.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, building codes, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for collaboration with clients, trades, and internal teams.
• Ability to manage schedules, coordinate multiple trades, and prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
• Basic proficiency with digital tools (email, project documentation, construction‑related software or apps).
• Valid driver’s licence and willingness to travel to various job sites within Oshawa and the Durham Region.
• Commitment to workplace health and safety.
• Relevant technical diploma, apprenticeship, or equivalent hands‑on experience in construction supervision (preferred).
