Site Supervisor – Institutional, Commercial & Industrial Projects

About the role

ONIT Construction is expanding its site supervision team and seeks an experienced Site Supervisor to lead daily operations on Institutional, Commercial, and Industrial (ICI) projects across the Greater Toronto and Hamilton Area. You will ensure safety, quality, schedule, and budget compliance while coordinating with project managers, subcontractors, and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular site inspections to identify and mitigate hazards.
• Supervise, schedule, and coordinate trades, subcontractors, equipment, and deliveries.
• Liaise with project managers, engineers, architects, and clients to support project execution.
• Enforce safety policies and Ontario construction regulations on site.
• Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly site documentation and communicate with the health and safety team.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.
• Monitor workmanship, site progress, and overall coordination.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of supervisory experience on ICI construction projects.
• Valid G‑Class driver’s licence.
• Strong knowledge of Ontario construction safety regulations.
• Hands‑on approach with strong leadership, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site with occasional extended hours.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with digital health and safety record‑keeping platforms such as SiteDocs.
