Site Superintendent

About the role

We currently have an opportunity open for a Site Superintendent in our Winnipeg office. The role involves leading construction site management, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule compliance while coordinating trades, owners, and design teams.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong health and safety culture and act as a safety leader on‑site.
• Oversee overall construction site management, logistics, and coordination.
• Identify constructability challenges, assess budget and schedule constraints, and drive schedule adherence.
• Supervise and develop site team members through feedback, training, and coaching.
• Manage site safety, cleanliness, quality control, and deficiency resolution.
• Coordinate trades, materials, inspections, and commissioning, and conduct pre‑construction and safety meetings.

Required profile

• 5+ years of construction management experience with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
• Knowledge of trade disciplines, safety regulations, scheduling, cost control, and engineered shop drawings.
• Understanding of CCDC construction contracts, drawings, specifications, building codes, and budgeting.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Experience on healthcare, higher‑education, or government projects is an asset.

Required skills

• Procore construction management software.
• First Aid/CPR certification.
• WHMIS certification.
• Advanced knowledge of health and safety regulations and CCDC contract documentation.
